Bentonite Clay Packs

bentonite clay pack

Bentonite clay packs are a great way to draw toxins out from the skin. On occasion I will recommend bentonite clay packs with certain detox treatments.

Here is a general “how to” on bentonite clay packs below.

Bentonite Clay Pack

Bentonite Clay

Warm distilled, reverse osmosis, or good quality spring water.

4×4 Gauze pad(s)

Glass mixing bowl

Small wooden spoon

In the glass mixing bowl, measure enough bentonite clay to spread over the area to be treated to ¼ inch thickness, with about ½ inch extra margin. (This may take some trial and error the first few times, but  eventually you will know the best amount to prepare.)

Stir in enough warm water to have a clay and water mixture resembling the consistency of peanut butter.

Spread the prepared bentonite clay onto the 4×4 gauze pad to ¼ inch thickness. Being sure to make the size with an extra ½ inch margin to adequately surround the area to be treated.

Apply the prepared gauze to the area to be treated, clay side down.

Leave applied for 2-4 hours..

Plastic wrap can be used to cover the area if needed.

When completed, remove the pack and discard. Depending on the purpose of the treatment you may want to wear gloves to remove the clay pack to avoid any absorption of toxins that may be in the clay pack after treatment.

Use a moist cloth to remove any clay residue left on the skin.
